Why Do Your PADI IDC in Amed, Bali
Our PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) in Amed, Bali provides a focused training environment for divers who want to become professional PADI instructors. Amed offers calm shore diving, excellent visibility and a relaxed setting that allows instructor candidates to concentrate on developing real teaching skills.
The program is led by PADI Gold Course Director Kai and focuses on small group training and direct mentorship throughout the IDC. Instead of large instructor courses with crowded groups, candidates receive individual coaching, structured feedback and real teaching experience.
Training takes place in Amed’s accessible dive sites, allowing candidates to refine dive skills, develop classroom presentations and build confidence teaching in both confined and open water environments.
This combination of professional instructor training, personal mentorship and ideal dive conditions makes Amed one of the best places in Bali to complete a PADI Instructor Development Course and prepare for the PADI Instructor Examination (IE).
Meet your
course director
Kai Ibrahim has been diving since 2006. He began in commercial construction diving before moving into the aquarium industry, where his focus shifted towards teaching and technical understanding.
He started teaching scuba diving in 2013 and relocated from Singapore to Bali in 2014. Since then, he has worked continuously in dive operations and professional training, teaching across recreational and professional levels.
In 2019, Kai became a PADI Course Director. With over 15,000 logged dives, he is the only Course Director based in Amed, Bali conducting regular instructor and other professional courses. Instructor candidates train directly with a Kai throughout the IDC, not rotating instructors. His IDC candidates have maintained a 100% pass rate at Instructor Examinations
